Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y Picasso (October 25, 1881 – April 8, 1973) was an Andalusian-Spanish painter, draughts man and sculptor. As one of the most recognized figures in twentieth-

century art, he is best known for co-founding the cubist movement and for the wide variety of styles embodied in his work. Among his most famous works are the proto-Cubist Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (1907) and his depiction of the German bombing of Guernica during the Spanish civil war , Guernica(1937).

My Work

Just as Picasso was an innovator I came up with my own way to create perspective in an unreal situation. This painting and another one similar to it are the only ones that use it. One of the first pieces by Picasso I ever saw was People and Dog in Sun and my teacher pointed out that when you   look at it your eye is drawn to the yellow spot in the painting. Being a control freak myself I decided to do some paintings where I would control where the viewers eye is drawn. How long did it take your eye to go to the orange "sun" in the corner.
